I've recently noticed the acclaim "underground" rappers have been getting (late, I know). More importantly Mos Def. I thought to myself, why has the door of fame been closed to so many other willing lyricists? I think I have cracked the Curious Case of Canibus. You have to get on 'Chappelle Show'! Why hasn't this crossed my mind earlier? It seems as if Common and Mos Def are our favorite One-Stop Shop of conscious lyrics on MTV. Anyway, let that marinate.
